The last command post was where the Japanese defended themselves against the Americans.  There were scattered cannons everywhere A tank wreck from World War II. Banzai Cliff was the place where hundreds of Japanese civilians committed suicide without being captured by U.S. forces. Suicide cliff was another cliff that the Japanese jumped off to escape their captives.
